Damn, that was a good one. Probably buy the DVD when it comes out, might even pick up an action figure.

Also, STAY UNTIL THE CREDITS ARE OVER. Yeah, the credits are LOOOOOONG, but its so worth it. Trust me.

some guys behind me were upset that that was all. like they had no idea what the scene implied.

*sigh*

OK, I looked it up. I probably would have been lost. So, no great loss for me.

Yeah, Made of Honor was good - not sure I'd buy the DVD though. And they're making action figures from it?

Very entertaining. Will definitely purchase on dvd.

We left before the credits ended (I was feeling impatient), but hooray for YouTube. Awesome, but really only to comic book nerds. Most normal humans won't get it at all.

Looks like they might be going for the Ultimates version, which would be pretty damn cool. Now if only they were already done and just looking to surprise us with that movie sometime in June or July. Now that would rock.

I agree on all counts. I want to see it again right now. So awesome.

I may be going action figure shopping tomorrow, damn you for planting the idea in my head :-P

I just saw it! It was so good! They did character development! They did it well! I'm so happy! Though I think I understood only a tiny bit of what was going on in the post-credits scene. I should go look that up. Woe for my insufficient geekiness.

Nick Fury is sort of Marvel's answer to James Bond - superspy military man. He runs SHIELD, a superspy military organization. In that scene he was inviting Stark to join The Avengers, which is Marvel's answer to the Justice League.

Further geek points were awarded for casting Jackson as Fury. Just complicate things, Marvel has two major universes running in their comics. In one, Fury is an average tough looking white guy. But in the other, he looks like this:

The artist who came up with that design once admitted that he based the character off of Samuel L. Jackson in hopes that he would play Fury in any movie version...

so, yeah. Geekout!

Oh, awesome. I've read the various Iron Man-related wikipedia entries now (yay wikipedia!), so I'm a little bit caught up, but I didn't known about the Samuel L. Jackson thing, which ups the awesomeness factor considerably.
