Speaking of creepy (depending on your feelings towards large reptiles), Gatorland is on fire!
This really sucks. While i only ever went there once with my family (my first ever Disney vacation, with side trips here and Kennedy Space Center), i have really fond memories. This is where the shots of the gators eating the bad guys in "Temple of Doom" were filmed. This place is (was?) truly a "roadside america" landmark. Hopefully they can stop the fire before too much of the structure is gone or too many animals get killed.

Speaking of Florida and Cape Canaveral (mmmmm segues), here's some cool shots of September's shuttle launch as seen from the "vomit comet". Incidently, this is the same shuttle launch that we got to see with our very own eyes from Walt Disney World that morning!
